over the years i have been fortunate to have spent ample time in the san juan mountains of colorado. i still find it hard to comprehend the vastness of these mountains. years ago i set out to become an avalanche educator and begun the process of gaining the experience required to work in the trade. hours crammed into huts with strangers, on the skin track, digging holes and spending time with a ton of excellent people led me to my first season of instruction in 2020. here are some shots i’ve collected over the years on courses and guided days with san juan expeditions,
