every year kayakers from around colorado and beyond head to gore canyon to celebrate whitewater and community. american whitewater, a non profit dedicated to protecting and preserving our nations rivers hosts the gathering. gore canyon hosts an abundance of amazing whitewater in a magnificent setting only accessed by boat or train. laps down the canyon are intermixed with uniting of old friends and reminiscing of paddling trips of the past.
